The music is based on Raag Kedar and the knowledge of nada yoga (yoga of sound) as inherited by the dhrupad tradition of singing.
Ragini Kedarika has been described as follows: ... a rare book in her hands, she sits, beautifully dressed in front of the temple Shiva, Lord of sleep. (Raga-sagara)
... her mind is immersed in contemplation of the Lord of Sleep... (Sangita-darpana)
